Ants and Teeth
“Trans Joy” is a digital painting of a naked trans man feeling euphoria within his own body. The background is a representation of the happy swirly feelings of gender euphoria.
Darian Acevedo (they/them) is a 23-year-old queer, genderfluid, Latinx, mixed media artist who was born and raised in New York.
They have been creating art for as long as they can remember and started seriously studying and pursuing it in high school. Darian works with many mediums such as acrylic paint, watercolor, colored pencil, ink, graphite, and digital art.
To Darian, art is therapy. They use art as a self-soothing outlet to process their emotions and express themselves through creating illustrations with symbolic details that only they may understand. Art has gotten them through the hardest moments of their life and has always helped them cope with their mental health. They are passionate about making weird and surreal art that reflects their sentiments and incorporates their vivid imagination. They can never just draw things as they are; they much rather add their own spin onto everything they create. Follow them on @antsandteeth
