Book your tickets now to make sure you have a space!

Dress code: Sci-fi, fantasy, cyberpunk, space cowboy boots the house down! Wearing what is comfortable is encouraged. We will have some face paint at the venue for anyone who wants it and isn't allergic!

Safe space rules: We are celebrating in an intersectional space for queer, non-cis, and trans people.

Please note: human rights and ideologies are not a costume, but are necessary beliefs for safe spaces and anti-capitalist rhetoric. If you believe that Transmuted is appropriating anarchist praxis, please contact us via email. If you have any similar issues, we encourage reaching out via email rather than on social media as discussions are more accessible.

FAQ

Accessibility: Wharf Chambers has a ramp around the back of the venue and no steps to toilets, with one disabled toilet and gender neutral toilets. Approximately 5 minutes walk from the bus station. If you require seating throughout the event, and/or near the exit, please contact the email below.

Covid rules:

  • Respect the ability to wear face masks
  • Take a test if possible before the event

Don’t:

  • Ignore symptoms
  • Take risks

I/my friend can't afford the tickets. Can we get free tickets? If you're transgender and unable to afford tickets but still want to come, or a friend/caregiver of a person with a ticket, please email using the contact details below.

How can this event be decolonial if there's a majority of visible whiteness in the lineup?

The line up is majority white as those who responded to the call for performers at this event were accepted with no requirements, as it is free labour. Transmuted is a decolonialist space as much as it's a trans-positive, accessible, anti-racist, anti-fascist space. The event is made up of entirely volunteers, as its nature of fundraising for Transmuted - at the moment - cannot pay workers to raise funds at the same time. Future events will hopefully be paid, if this event goes well - in which case, we will look for economically marginalised workers. We did not put a call out for specific individuals as we feel that asking for free labour from more economically marginalised persons is inappropriate.

For queries please contact Dorian at contactus(at)transmuted(dot)co(dot)uk

Safe Spaces

Consent; before you touch anyone or discuss sensitive topics ask if they are comfortable with that. Don’t assume your physical & emotional boundaries are the same as other people’s.” - Sisters Uncut, Safer Spaces Policy. https://www.sistersuncut.org/saferspaces/

We will have some resources on hand to help with stimulation and anxiety, alongside our art corner.

This is a space for non-cis folks and chosen family to celebrate & relax as a group. Problematic behaviour will not be tolerated in any regard.

Transmuted is an intersectional trans project. As such, it is not a space to judge, disrespect, or police others’ ‘transness’, ability, and so on.

TRANARCHY is a celebratory space for non-normativity: for non-cis, non-binary, trans, agender, gender variant people from all areas of liveability.

Please respect that some attendees will have more spoons than others to engage in emotional labour. And that we all come from different households, cultures, and other areas of experience.

Multiple volunteers will be at the event to approach at any time if you are feeling uncomfortable or need help. Staff on the bar are also available.
